Mansfield Museum and Mansfield Palace Theatre have closed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The theatre said it would be contacting people regarding refunds/credit notes for shows in order of their scheduled dates and hoped to be reopening on 8th June.

The museum said in a statement: “Please contact 01623 463088 (During usual working hours) for more information or if you have a school booking.

“The following groups/events are cancelled until further notice:

• The Reminiscence Tearoom
• The Games Café
• Bamfords Valuation event
• Fitness, Food and Fun
• Growing Bolder
• Saturday painting class

“Thank you for your continued support and patience at this difficult and demanding time and we look forward to welcoming you back to our award-winning museum soon.”
