Dedicated Mansfield Woodhouse volunteer Eva Royce has been recognised for her work at The Stable Centre, Mansfield Woodhouse, over the past 20 years.

The 90-year-old volunteers behind the counter at the community cafe.

Mansfield Woodhouse Community Development Group chair Peter Sutcliffe described Eva as a special lady and presented her with a special award.

Eva, who has no plans to hang up her apron, will also be added to the Mansfield Woodhouse Community Champion Shield, along with many other popular names over the past 15 years.

The group said: “Well done, Eva, you really are a shining light in our community!”

The café operates in conjunction with the weekly Turner Hall flea market.
