Cancer Research UK’s local fundraising manager Rebecca Elphick accepts a cheque from West Nottinghamshire College business administration students and tutors.
Students at the college’s Thoresby Street campus in Mansfield were set an enterprise workshop through The Prince’s Trust to create a small business.
They raised £219 for Cancer Research by making a range of crafts, including earrings, bracelets, bags and cards, which they sold at the college’s Christmas market.
Business and administration tutor Cheryl Atkins said: “I’m incredibly proud of the time and effort that this group put in creating the products as well as marketing them.”
“They all put forward a number of charities and chose to support Cancer Research because they felt they had all been affected in one way or another by losing someone to cancer.”
