The transformation of The Landmark in Pleasley into a social hub and sports centre has been further enhanced by the opening of a coffee shop — Roots Coffee Lounge.

The Landmark is run by R.E.A.L. Foundation Trust, which originally helped those who found difficulties in traditional learning settings and now works on projects to support broader issues surrounding learning and wellbeing — such as tackling food poverty, providing leisure pursuits and access to technology, raising community awareness and much more.

It aims to promote health, education, wellbeing, and team building.

Roots Coffee Lounge is supported by coffee shop experts 200 Degrees, which offers training opportunities, and has received £20,000 matched funding from Nottinghamshire County Council’s Local Community Fund.
