Ravenshead and Blidworth Rotary Club has presented its annual Citizen of the Year award to Mark Bradbury, of Bradbury’s Butchers and Delicatessen, Ravenshead.

The club said since Mark took over the shop, he has been a great advocate for supporting the local community and the efforts of numerous charitable organisations within the area, often providing prizes and hampers for raffles to raise funding for many causes.

He has also always been a supporter of the Rotary Sleigh each Christmas.

In the last 18 months he has been actively involved in ensuring food was available for the community, and able to be delivered by also working with Ravenshead Community Transport.

Mark has donated to local foodbanks, actively assisting them in acquiring supplies from national food distributors to make best use of their funds.
