This weekend will see the popular Buzzy B Club return to Mansfield’s Four Seasons Shopping Centre for a double-header of free, family-themed fun – just in time for Mother’s Day.

On Saturday, 5 March, the children’s club will be kicking off a week of 40th birthday celebrations at the centre with party-themed activities, before turning attention to all things mum-related on Sunday with a workshop for children to make their loved ones a very special Mother’s Day treat.

“Buzzy B Club is always a big hit with parents and children,” said Rebekah O’Neill, Centre Manager at Four Seasons, “and with our March club falling the same week as our own 40th birthday celebrations and Mother’s Day this year, we decided to make it a bumper weekend of fun.

“While Saturday is all about getting into the party spirit, Sunday’s club is the perfect way to let the kids burn off some energy either side of a special lunch with mum.

“From 11am to 3pm on Saturday, we’re inviting children to come along to Buzzy B Club and either make their own party hats or decorate a cupcake which they can then take home with them,” she said. “Then on Sunday, again between 11am and 3pm, our ‘Buzzy Bs’ will be able to decorate and personalise a porcelain flowerpot with paints and stickers,” said Rebekah.

“Children will then be able to plant a flower in the finished pot and take it home in a decorated gift bag – and all for free.”

Now in its eighth year, the Buzzy B Club has a regular programme of activities throughout the year, each with a different theme and usually including a craft workshop so that children are able to take something away with them.

“This weekend’s club is extra special as it forms part of our week of 40th birthday celebrations,” said Rebekah, “so there’ll be a real party atmosphere as we gear up for the centre’s big birthday bash.”
