Home-Start Mansfield, a charity that supports parents with young children by visiting families in their own homes, is looking for new volunteers.

A course for those would like to help will start on 10th January.

.A spokesman said: “If you are a parent or grandparent and have a couple of hours per week to spare, then we would love to hear from you.

“Volunteering with Home-Start can be rewarding, knowing you are helping a young family which is struggling to cope.

“It can also increase your own confidence and feelings of self-worth, while expanding your own circle of friends.
