A Mansfield-based charity that offers a holistic range of support services for survivors of childhood sexual abuse has been awarded major funding to continue its work in the community.
S.H.E. UK will receive £300,000 from the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund over the next three years.
A spokesperson sad: “We are thrilled. This funding is a huge milestone for our organisation — it will allow us to plan for the future and enable us to continue to provide life-changing support to survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
“It will allow us to review our strategy with fresh perspective, ensuring we can plan effectively for the future of the organisation as we strive to meet demand for our services.
“While we still need to pro-actively seek funding going forward, this grant provides a financial boost and is endorsement of the work we do and the positive impact we aim to deliver within our community.
“We are grateful to the National Lottery and its players for this opportunity, which comes at a pivotal time in our journey. We look forward to strengthening our mission, innovating new ways to serve our community, and creating a sustainable path forward.”
