Charity donations from hospital’s theatre troupe panto

Posted onPosted on 31st Jul

Mansfield Hospital’s Theatre Troupe celebrated the success of its annual pantomime, Jack And The Beanstalk, by donating £4,334 to local causes.

It took the total raised by the troupe since it began in 1980 to around £125,000.

The panto was performed at the Palace Theatre, Mansfield, in January

Pictured, below, are representatives of Mansfield Soup Kitchen, Portland College and Home-Start Mansfield with members of the troupe after they received cheques.

Members of the troupe are also pictured, right, presenting a donation to Ken Bonsall for the Lee Bonsall Memorial Fund.

This winter the troupe will be staging Cinderella at the Palace Theatre, Mansfield, from Saturday, 27th January to Saturday, 3rd February 2018 — and have added an extra matinee performance.

A spokesman said: “It promises to be bigger and better than ever.”

Ticket booking details will be announced later this year. Tickets will be priced £8 adults/£7 concessions.
