Skills for Independent Living learners at Sutton Community Academy, ATTFE celebrated their learning achievements at an Australian-themed celebration of learning event.

Skills for Independent Living offers a variety of courses to adults with additional needs.

The provision delivers education to learners attending day centres, living in residential homes and also to learners who access the academy independently.

The programme offers courses such as film-making skills, music and melodies, arts and crafts, and cookery.

The Australian theme has been part of courses since the beginning of the year.

During the celebration learners performed songs and drama pieces, and showcased films made during their courses.

A buffet was provided by learners who demonstrated their new-found cookery skills. Art work was displayed.
