HC-One’s Stoneyford care home in Sutton welcomed the local community as residents and colleagues threw a party to mark the home’s 30th anniversary.

Staff at Stoneyford organised special entertainment for residents and their families, which included a performance from a local singer in the morning, followed by a thanksgiving service in the afternoon. Guests also enjoyed a buffet celebration.

The anniversary of the home marked 30 years’ service for wellbeing coordinator Marian Matthews, who has worked at Stoneyford since it opened in 1989.

She was presented with cards and flowers by fellow colleagues.

Keeley Morris, home manager, said: “I am delighted to have celebrated our home’s 30th birthday with so many of our residents and their families, as their happiness and wellbeing is our top priority at HC-One. The party was a great success, with smiles all around as we marked the anniversary together.

“Over the past 30 years, we have had the pleasure of getting to know so many different residents and colleagues, but our commitment has stayed the same in aiming to provide the kindest care possible to everyone living at Stoneyford.”
