Mansfield Town announced the signing of goalkeeper Cameron Belford on a non-contract basis on Friday.
The 25-year-old joined Paul Cox’s side with immediate effect and could go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s Sky Bet League Two season-opener at Northampton Town.
Belford made 78 league appearances for Bury during a six-year stay at Gigg Lane from 2007 to 2013.
The shot-stopper played for Tamworth last term, and was an ever-present in the Skrill Premier registering 10 clean-sheets in 46 outings.
During his career, which began in the academy ranks at Coventry City, Belford has also had loan spells at Southend United and Accrington Stanley.
