Italian restaurant Ciao Bella Mansfield has celebrated its fifth anniversary.

The restaurant, which launched a bar and lounge alongside the restaurant at the Grade 2 listed building two years ago, carried out renovations during the coronavirus lockdown.

Since the hospitality industry reopened on 4th July, the restaurant, lounge and bar have been fully booked every weekend.

Owner Tamer Abouelela said: “Our success is only possible with our community, customers and staff.

“From day one of opening I’ve always been passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and our customers always leave as a friend.

“The support from Mansfield District Council (MDC) has been outstanding from inception.

“It was Mansfield’s former mayor, Tony Egginton, who found the building for me after understanding my vision for an Italian restaurant.

“Then it was (another) former mayor, Kate Allsop, who listened, understood and fully supported the plans to extend the site for a lounge and bar.

“Throughout my business journey in Mansfield, MDC officers have been very supportive — everyone from planning, licensing and environment. They have all helped me make this happen.

“I’m also delighted to announce that we now own the freehold to Ciao Bella Restaurant, Lounge and Bar. This is with thanks to Mayor Andy Abrahams and his team.

“Having spoken to other business owners in and outside the area, the funding support and guidance provided by MDC during lockdown has been the best in the country I believe.

“Ordinarily, it would be an opportunity to party and celebrate. However, considering the Covid situation we will celebrate behind the scenes with our staff.

“We look forward to continuing to serve customers old and new and providing a great venue for meeting up with friends in relaxing, stylish surroundings.”
