A highly-popular wedding venue on the edge of one of Mansfield’s award-winning parks is inviting loved-up couples to a special wedding showcase.

Carr Bank Wedding Venue was reopened earlier this year after a major refurbishment saw it undergo a stylish transformation.

Since then, it has hosted a number of weddings for people wanting something special in the heart of Mansfield.

Now, the Grade II-listed building is to host a wedding showcase on January 8, between 11am and 3pm, where visitors can see the venue for themselves and see a range of wedding suppliers at the same time.

There is no need to book an appointment, and canapes and a glass of fizz will be available.

Mark Dowthwaite, venue manager, said: “It has been a privilege for us to host some very special days here at Carr Bank, and I am delighted that any people will have so many fond memories of their wonderful day.

“We are hosting a showcase so that more people can come in and see what a special place this is. We have also organised for trusted wedding suppliers to come along too.”

He added: “In just a few short months we have become one of the best venues in Nottinghamshire, with a growing reputation.”

Suppliers include, among others, cake makers, venue stylists, menswear outfitters, stationery providers, wedding photographers, wedding dress specialists, and a harpist.

One couple who have this year held their wedding at Carr Bank are Alex and Lucy Goddard (pictured).

Lucy said: “From the moment we booked, Jordan couldn’t have been more helpful, as he went above and beyond.  I wasn’t the most calm bride to be honest, but the day was perfect and every single guest said the same as the staff couldn’t have done any more for us or our guests.”

A number of weddings have been booked at Carr Bank for 2023, 2024 and 2025, with many more couples already viewing the venue for their own ceremonies.
