The excellence of local companies was celebrated at the inaugural Mansfield and Ashfield Business Awards.

Remarkable achievements of businesses, entrepreneurs, and innovators were highlighted at the event, which was organised by Mansfield and Ashfield Business Network and sponsored by Plastek Group.

The network is a not-for-profit organisation, running under the banner of West Nottinghamshire College. It aims to create a vibrant and inclusive group that empowers businesses to collaborate, innovate, and thrive together in a welcoming community.

Chairperson Ian Jephson said: “We’re committed to fostering an environment where every business feels welcome and supported. Together, we aim to provide valuable resources, encourage collaboration, and build a community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.”

The awards evening at Portland College recognised outstanding contributions to the region’s economic growth and community development, highlighting the resilience, creativity, and ambition of the local business community.

Twelve exceptional businesses across 11 categories were honoured, showcasing the dynamic nature of the Mansfield and Ashfield business landscape.

From new micro businesses to large and well-established enterprises, the spotlight was shone on those that have demonstrated excellence in performance, innovation, and community impact.

The evening also featured a charity raffle, which raised more than £1,600 for John Eastwood Hospice, Sutton.

It is hoped the awards will become an annual event.

Ian added: “We are incredibly proud to recognise and celebrate the businesses that make Mansfield and Ashfield a thriving hub for entrepreneurship. These winners embody the passion and determination that drive our local economy forward.”
