Local businesses and entrepreneurs are being asked to back a winning team — Sutton Swimming Club.

The East Midlands Club of the Year 2023 is approaching its centenary and is looking for help.

David Swales, press secretary,  said: “With a history of producing swimmers who have become county, regional and national champions, we are proud to look back at our achievements and to give a nod to past coaches and members of the club.

“We don’t rest on our laurels, though. We like to look to the future and the next generation of swimmers who could go on to success.

“We currently have swimmers who are already county, regional, and national champions — and we want to keep producing them.

“How could you help? Why not start by looking at sponsoring one of our club trophies?

“As we are nearing its 100th year some of our current club championship trophies are nearing retirement because they cannot hold anymore names of winners.
