A six-year-old Blidworth boy ran 2.5km to raise funds for his school’s new eco garden and outdoor snug,

Eddie Robinson has collected £675 for the cause.

His father, Ian Robinson, works at Plastek UK, Mansfield, which was inspired by his efforts and donated £500 to the Blidworth Oaks Primary project.

Customer service manager Danielle Harkness attended the school’s summer fair, gave a short talk about Plastek’s sustainability initiatives, and presented the school with a cheque.
