Forest Town student Leah Clegg is appealing for public votes and support as she bids to be crowned Miss Nottingham and win a place in the Miss England final.
Leah (18), is one of 20 finalists for the regional competition at The Village Hotel and Health Club, Nottingham, on Thursday 21st January.
The public text votes for the girls – who are all featured at www.missengland.info/regionals/nottingham – ahead of the final will count as one judge. The winner will go through to the Miss England final and the text vote winner will be invited to the national Miss Popularity final in June if she is not named Miss Nottingham.
As well as trying to gain votes, Leah – a student at Nottingham Trent University who works part-time at Nike, East Midlands Designer Outlet – is organising a charity afternoon tea and raffle to raise money for local charity Hope Against Cancer.
Leah is appealing for businesses to back her charity event at 32 Goldcrest Road, Forest Town, on Saturday, 16th January, by donating prizes for the raffle – and for people to attend the fundraiser and also vote for her.
To vote for Leah, people should text MISS NOTTS15 to 63333. Texts cost 50p.
Money can also be donated directly to Hope Against Cancer at www.gofundme.com/cwhtjbz3
