For the first time since the pandemic, weekly free table tennis sessions for people aged 50+ have returned to the Four Seasons Shopping Centre, Mansfield.

Catering for those looking for a little gentle exercise and the opportunity to meet other people, Bat and Chat is back on Wednesdays, from 10.30am to 12noon.

Rebekah O’Neill, centre manager, said: “Bat and Chat offers a friendly and welcoming environment and provides the opportunity to play for free, get a little, steady physical activity, and enjoy a natter with like-minded people.

“We’re pleased to bring it back on the events calendar as it was very popular with many regulars, who became a group of friends of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.”

The sessions are supervised and overseen by a member of the team, who helps to make sure all people get a chance to play, whatever their level.
