People across the East Midlands who are interested in beginning a fulfilling career in teaching are being encouraged to attend the Train to Teach roadshow when it comes to Jurys Inn in Nottingham on Wednesday 2nd March.

The roadshow, organised by the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL), is the most comprehensive of its kind. It is an opportunity for those looking to begin a rewarding career, and make a positive impact on young people’s lives, to find out more about what a career in teaching can offer, and how to make their first steps towards achieving their goal.

The event, from 5-8pm, includes a presentation on the teacher training options available. Visitors will be able to meet representatives from schools and universities that provide teacher training, gain insights into how to make a strong application, and receive one-to-one advice from current teachers and teaching experts.

The event will also showcase the financial support available and provide information on the competitive starting salaries, as well as the rewards that teaching has to offer. These include substantial tax-free bursaries and scholarships for top graduates who train to teach core academic subjects.
