Ashfield District Council is offering residents a chance to win a £50 voucher as part of a Love Your Leisure Centres competition.

Residents of all ages should describe what they love about the district’s three leisure centres to enter. This can be in the form of poems, drawings, short stories or pictures that sum up why people love their local leisure centre.

The three centres included in this competition are Lammas Leisure Centre, Kirkby Leisure Centre, and Hucknall Leisure Centre.

The competition is open to three age categories – 11 and under, 12-17, and 18 and over. Four winners from each category will each win a £50 Everyone Active voucher, which can be redeemed in one of the three leisure centres.

Coun Rachel Madden, executive lead member for Leisure, Health and Wellbeing, said: “With the recent completion of the new Kirkby Leisure Centre, this is the perfect time to come together as a community to share what we love about our leisure centres. Get creative and share some positive examples of why the centres mean so much you.”
