EAST MIDLANDS training provider CT Skills is holding an apprenticeship recruitment day on Thursday 9th April at Mansfield Library from 10am until 2pm.
CT Skills will be offering apprenticeships in a range of careers such as early years childcare, accountancy and customer service with local employers including Sherwood Childcare, Trusted Technologies, Pro-fit, Childcare East Midlands, Ho-Jay Pet Products and Applegarth Day Nursery.
Both Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeship opportunities will be available and will be ideally suited to school leavers or jobseekers aged between 16 and 24.
Faye Stevenson, from CT Skills said: “This is a great time of year for students currently in year 10 to start looking at their post-school options. Apprenticeships not only give young people the opportunity to get hands on training in the workplace but also enable then to earn while they learn.
“Most of the employers that we work with pay more than the minimum for apprentices and with the minimum wage for apprenticeships going up in September to £3.23.”
Childcare East Midlands currently has 11 nurseries across the region including three in Mansfield. Sarah Savage is assistant operations manager at Childcare East Midlands andsaid: “We employ over 240 staff at our nurseries, and apprentices play a huge part in enabling us to deliver the best possible childcare.
“Due to the continued growth of the business we are now looking to recruit a further eight apprentices and hope that the CT Skills recruitment day will attract lots of local interest.”
