Former Miss Mansfield, Alice Kurylo, is to compete in the finals of Miss Great Britain in September.
Alice (22), qualified by being named Miss Nottingham at the Miss Midlands final, contested by 30 girls, at the City Rooms, Leicester.
On the same night she also received a modelling contract and was signed with ModelZed agency.
Alice, of Eakring Road, Mansfield, who works for Smooth Radio in Nottingham, said: “It’s an absolutely fantastic
feeling to have been crowned Miss Nottingham and it will be an honour to represent our city at the national finals.”
The Miss Great Britain Final takes place on 10th and 11th September in Leicester, where more than 50 girls will compete for the title.
During the final they will have one-to-one pre-judging interviews with judges and will then perform a dance routine. The main sections are swimsuit and evening gown wear.
Alice has already attended various events as Miss Nottingham, including presenting to teenagers graduating from their National Citizen Service course and attending charity events in and around the Nottingham and Mansfield area.
In 2013, Alice raised more than £6,000 for Nottingham City Hospitals transplant unit as part of her year as Miss Mansfield.
She is now supporting Cancer Research UK and will take part in the Reach Mansfield 10k in August.
