From pop to rock, puppets to pianos, and history to heartbreak, there is something to suit most tastes at Mansfield’s Palace Theatre in July.

The Simon and Garfunkel Story returns on Wednesday 3 July. Using huge projection photos and original film footage, the international hit show also features a full live band performing all the hits, including Mrs Robinson, Cecilia, Bridge Over Troubled Water, and Homeward Bound.

Steve Steinman’s Love Hurts rolls into town on Thursday 11 July. This  new show features a powerhouse cast of  singers, dancers, and a seven piece live band, rocking out to some of the greatest power ballads and anthems of all time.

Local pianist and composer Chris Miggells takes to the Palace stage on Friday 12 July to present his uniquely immersive piano music, accompanied by an interactive light show and dynamic visual display. You will hear favourites from his Synesthese album, along with brand new unheard compositions plus exciting musical surprises.

Horrible Histories is back on Saturday 13 July with revolting rulers and mad monarchs from Britain’s barmy past!

Direct from London’s West End, 80s Live includes hits Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, The Edge of Heaven, Tainted Love, Love Shack, Living on a Prayer, The Final Countdown, Don’t You Want Me?, Relax, Never Gonna Give You Up, It’s Raining Men, Rio and many more.

In The Night Garden returns on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 July. Join Igglepiggle as he looks for his friends by following their funny sounds until he finds them all. You’ll see  favourite characters  brought to life with full-size costumes, magical puppets, and  music.

Mansfield Town Film Festival is back for its second year from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 July. Featuring an array of short films, music videos, documentaries and animation as well as international shorts, our film festival offers three days of unique programming, entertainment, and fresh perspectives, bringing together a stunning mix of filmmakers with a strong focus on diverse, working-class talent.

The Tiger Who Came To Tea leaps from page to stage on Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 July. Direct from the West End, this musical play, based on the book by Judith Kerr, is packed with magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos.
