Three barbers at a Mansfield salon presented a national charity with funds they raised by jumping out of a plane.
Dawn Kershaw, Suzann Armstrong and Karen Berry, who work at Barnets Hair Salon, Market Street, handed a cheque for £2,985 to Shane Neville, of Prostate Cancer UK.
They jumped from 13,000 feet at Langar Airfield with a trained instructor, including a 45-second free-fall.
The fundraising was supported by Kirkby Rotary Club and its president, Philip Hurt, said: “It’s very appropriate that three ladies who work as men’s barbers should choose to help a charity dedicated to improving men’s well-being.
“They were brilliant and showed great bravery — I am very proud of them all.”
Ironically, a few weeks after safely completing the leap, Dawn broke her ankle while walking.
