Dedicated hairdresser and business owner Paul Sanderson has celebrated a remarkable milestone, working at the same hair salon for 45 years.

Starting as an apprentice, he now owns Campions Hairdressing and has thanked staff and customers for their continued support.

Paul began at the Church Street salon as a 15-year-old in 1978, when it was known as Peppers.

“I thank all our clients for their continued support over the years,” he said, explaining that he wasn’t originally planning on a career in hairdressing. “I decided to stop on at school and learn the skill,” he added.

“We are like a family. I could not have done this without long-serving colleague Jo Parkes and all the staff.”

Jo and fellow staff members Karen Dunn, Katie Griffiths, Michelle Fahy, and Lindsey Davies praised Paul for his dedication.

“I have witnessed his hard work and dedication to all his clients,” said Jo, who has worked at the salon for 25 years.

“His experience and dedication to the hairdressing industry is admirable.

“All of us are so proud to have worked alongside him. Many of his clients are now friends, which makes a fun environment to work in.
