The event in Lecture Theatre 2 at King’s Mill Hospital on Thursday 28th January, from 6-8pm, will provide an opportunity for residents to understand how to identify potential risks to heart health, as well as how to make small changes to lifestyles to reach and maintain a healthy body.
Interactive presentations and quizzes will be the focal point of the events – providing a fun and non-threatening environment for residents to learn more about heart disease.
Annie Palmer, Membership Manager for East Midlands Ambulance Trust, who is delivering the interactive events for the Trust, said: “It is important for people to keep their heart healthy, whatever their age. It is the most important thing people can do to help prevent and manage heart disease. These workshops will highlight how taking exercise and eating a healthy diet, as well as being aware of dangers such as smoking, drinking, high blood pressure, and stress are all important for long-term heart health, regardless of the condition of their heart.”
