Staff and sponsors from Mansfield Town are due to stage their second charity sleepout at One Call Stadium on Friday, 28th January.
Paul Nyland, the club’s commercial manager, will be joined by Andy Plant (Acorn Signs), Steve Devine-Bradbury (Riley & Co), Malk Hall (Hall-Fast Industrial Supplies), Mark Burton (Ulyett Landscapes) and Connor Doran (Mansfield Manor Hotel).
They were sleeping rough to raise awareness of the plight of the homeless in the town and raise money for the Joint Forces Alliance.
Funds raised will be equally split between the charity’s Veterans Service, which helps veterans who are homeless and need support, and its Community Support Project, which provides food parcels for individuals and families across the area from its food bank based on White Hart Street, Mansfield.
The group is hoping to beat last year’s amount of £2,317.36 raised for Framework, a local homeless and vulnerable person’s charity.
