Mansfield district councillor Lee Probert organised an Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk at Yeoman Hill Park, Mansfield Woodhouse, which raised £275.76.
She said: “225,000 people will develop Alzheimer’s this year, that’s one every three minutes.
“The money raised will help fund research to find a cure for dementia as well as funding services for people living with the disease.”
Around 30 people and dogs did two laps of the park. Members of Woodhouse Giants Rugby Club, Clearway Counselling, the Samaritans and Friends Of Yeoman Hill Park plus district and county councillors took part.
4th Mansfield Woodhouse Scouts sold refreshments. Scouts and the St Edmund’s Drum and Bugle Corps marshalled the walk.
Water and dog treats were donated by Morrisons.
