Mansfield district councillor Lee Probert is organising an Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk on Saturday, 26th September, at Yeoman Hill Park, Mansfield Woodhouse, starting at 10am.
She said: “225,000 people will develop Alzheimer’s this year, that’s one every three minutes.
“The money raised will help fund research to fund a cure for dementia as well as funding services for people living with the disease.”
Anyone is welcome to join the walk. Lee said well-behaved dogs were also welcome and asked owners to remember their poop bags.
