The Mansfield Building Society donated 15p to Mansfield-based charity the Jigsaw Support Scheme for every qualifying vote received by its members at this year’s annual meeting donated 15p to the Jigsaw Support Scheme.

This was doubled to 30p for every e-mail address received that entered a competition to win £100 in a savings account. A total of £413.40 was raised.

Jigsaw provides support to help people remain independent in their own homes.

Alison Clarke said: “Funding is important to us to continue our work, which includes befriending local and vulnerable people.”

Mandy Whitten, marketing co-ordinator of The Mansfield, pictured with Jigsaw’s Jayne Wagstaff and Alison Clarke, said: “There are many people who live alone, seeing no-one for days at a time. The support offered by Jigsaw is a lifeline.”
