Staff from Mansfield’s Brunts Academy, part of the Evolve Trust, put a team together, called The Brunts Babes, to take part in the Race For Life event at Clumber Park.

They have raised £512 so far by selling cakes. A total of £77 was raised by the eight-year-old daughter of one of the runners.

One member of the team, Anna Evans, ran the 10k and 5k races.

She said: “It was a great experience and a pleasure to support this important annual fundraising event.

“The Brunts Babes have been in training for a few months and plan to do it again next year.”
