A new survey by Mansfield web hosting company 20i has shown the scale of AI usage by digital creatives.
Based in Ransom Wood Business Park, 20i surveyed 500 workers in the digital space. The stats revealed:
89% of professionals are currently using AI tools in their work
84% believe AI should be governmentally regulated
42% perceive AI as a potential threat to human jobs
The research provided a detailed view of AI adoption, with 79% of professionals using the tools on at least a weekly basis, and 39% turning to them every day.
Perspectives on AI’s workforce impact were mixed. 42% believed AI might replace some job roles, while 39% thought the AI industry could potentially create new employment opportunities.
All groups surveyed showed a strong support for some form of government regulation of AI tools (84%), citing concerns such as ethical misuse and over reliance on the technology as reasons to be cautious.
Lloyd Cobb, director at 20i, said: “The pressures on digital creatives can be significant. The fact that these usage satisfaction levels are so high shows that AI is clearly empowering people to innovate and deliver results.
“However, it’s clear that time should be taken to ensure that these tools are developed and used in a responsible, ethical way.”
