Huthwaite-based dance studio celebrated success at a dance festival at Portland College — winning five team trophies and many medals.

Founder Kelly Jepson said after the Above And Beyond Dance Festival: “The girls performed really well and I’m proud of them.

“It was a great start to the new competition season for us, a tough event with some great talent.”

The studio won the Acro Dance, Lyrical Dance, Street Dance, and Cheer Dance sections, coming second in the Contemporary section.

Among the individual successes were Summer Blake, who was second in Street Solo; Lily Jewkes, third in Street Solo; Isabella Catton, second in Acro Solo; and Olivia Dixon and Isabella Catton, second in Lyrical Duo.

The studio has a full weekday timetable of dance, musical theatre, cheerleading, acro, and gymnastics classes.

Kelly added: “We offer a free trial class to all newcomers. Our studio is based at Hill House, Nunn Brook Road, Huthwaite.”
