Ladies’ group’s membership appeal

Warsop Ladies Probus, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, welcomes applications from any retired or semi-retired women who would like to join.

The group has 26 members, who meet monthly at the Tudor Barn, Church Warsop. There is a guest speaker and lunch.

Members also go on outings and raise funds for charity.

At their May meeting, the Rector of Warsop, the Rev Angela Fletcher gave an illustrated talk about her visit to the Philippines.

Grace at lunch was said by Mrs Doris Blythe. The raffle was won by Mrs Sheila Bennett.

The group will hold a Strawberry Tea Afternoon on 27th June, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at the home of the club president Mrs Paddy Holden, 21 Manor Road, Old Church Warsop.

Money raised will go to this year’s club charities for the year — the Parish Church and the Parish Centre.
