A team of workers from a rail infrastructure engineering organisation left their train tracks behind to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks for a neonatal charity.

Kent PHK Ltd, Mansfield raised money for the Emily Harris Foundation, which supports the Neonatal Unit at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton.

Inspired by Dan Morgan, whose son spent time on the unit in November 2022, the group of 12 climbed more than 5,000ft and almost 26 miles in just under eight and a half hours.

With support from Kent PHK, which match-funded donations backing the team, a total of £5,365 was raised.

“They were faced with a variety of weather on the day and still finished smiling.

Dan said: “We hope the money raised will make a difference to the fantastic work Clare does for the charity, and for the families and staff of the unit at King’s Mill.
