Theatregoers can sit on the Palace Theatre stage as musicians perform.
Ensemble 360 aims to bring people and music closer together through its informative style of ‘in the round’ performances and is bringing The Lark Ascending and more to the Palace on Wednesday, 25th September.
Celebrating Vaughan Williams, the composer who embodies the sound of English music, the evening opens with his most famous work, The Lark Ascending, recently voted number one in the Classic FM Hall of Fame for a record 12th time, in its original version for piano and violin.
This will be followed by a String Quartet, written by the composer’s friend and mentor Maurice Ravel, and the dramatic Fantasy for Horn Quintet by his teacher, Charles Villiers Stanford. Vaughan Williams’ expansive Piano Quintet will complete the evening.
Tickets for this intimate performance can be bought at mansfieldpalace.co.uk or call or visit Box Office during usual office hours on 01623 463133.
