Mansfield Palace Theatre hosts top music tributes in September, starting with the chance to relive the legendary hits of Phil Collins and Genesis on Thursday 5 September with Seriously Collins.
Through 1957 to ‘59 one man changed the face of music and revolutionised the meaning of rock ‘n’ roll. That man was Buddy Holly and on Thursday 12 September Buddy Holly – A Legend Reborn will relive the rockin’ fifties music scene with hits Peggy Sue, Oh Boy, It Doesn’t Matter Anymore, It’s So Easy, Rave On and many more.
The Magic of Motown returns on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 September with all the Motown classics from artists such as Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, The Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson, and many, many more.
The Mersey Beatles – the world’s favourite Liverpool-born tribute to the Fab Four – are back on Thursday 19 September with an all-new show celebrating the 60th anniversary of A Hard Day’s Night. The Mersey Beatles will play the entire A Hard Day’s Night album in the first half of their show – followed by a hit-packed collection of Beatlemania classics in the second.
The Shania Twain Story takes to the Palace stage on Friday 20 September, celebrating Shania Twain and other country music legends. With three vocalists and a live band, the show stars Liza Rebecca Walsh (as Shania Twain) plus award-winning country singer/songwriter Thorne Hill, and vocal coach to stars such as Celine Dion, George Michael and Adele – the Sally Rivers.
Celine – My Heart Will Go On is on Thursday 26 September, while Think Floyd’s new show on Friday 27 September features the whole range of classic Pink Floyd from Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, The Wall, The Division Bell and more.
The Signatures – official backing band for many of the Northern Soul original artists – return with Northern Soul Live on Saturday 28 September. Immerse yourself in the energy of a ten-piece live band, showcasing their talent in their own distinctive style. Joining The Signatures on stage is Stefan Taylor and the iconic original Northern Soul artist Lorraine Silver (Lost Summer Love), a favourite from the legendary Wigan Casino.
