A Mansfield charity set up to help people affected by domestic violence and abuse has benefited from Mansfield Folk and Acoustic Club support.
The club made a donation of £500 to Butterfly, the proceeds of a recent singers’ night and club funds.
Jordan Cotton founded and runs Butterfly, which provides counselling, legal support, and liaison with the police and other support services — as well as emergency funding for clothing, housing, food, transport, and much more.
A survivor of domestic violence and sexual abuse herself, Jordan said she believes violence has no gender and that’s why her charity supports both men, women, and children. “We are the voice that the victims need and deserve,” she added.

Mansfield Folk and Acoustic Club meets every Monday at Forest Town Arena. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start, and the aim is to finish at 10.30pm.
The club said it aims to provide a range of live acoustic music every week at a price that means no one is excluded.
