A team of volunteers from David Wilson Homes completed two transformative volunteering projects at Heathlands Primary School, Rainworth, adjacent to the homebuilder’s Elm Tree Park development.

The first — led by directors at David Wilson Homes (pictured) — aimed to revitalise areas in the school grounds.

It involved the removal of wooden tables, chairs, and pallets, allowing grass to grow back and create a more inviting space.

Executive headteacher Shaun Walker at Heathlands Primary School, said: “We are thrilled with the work of the volunteers and the donations that have been made.

“We now have a safe and appealing space that children of all ages can use as part of our curriculum, and to enhance outdoor learning experiences.”

Carrier Landscapes donated 30 laurel bushes, which were planted along the fence line.

Reconomy UK also supported the project by donating a skip.

Another team from David Wilson Homes, including sales managers, sales progressor Stephanie Wain, and marketing executive Beth Astle worked on a second project, refurbishing the school’s group room. It is used by nursery groups, Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) sessions, and sensory activities.
