In preparation for the General Election on 4th July, Mansfield is to have its own Speaker’s Corner — on the steps of the Old Town Hall in the Market Square.

It will be held every Saturday, from 2pm, until the election.

Organisers said Speaker’s Corner belongs to everyone and the space will be open for anyone to join in and speak their mind – and lively debate will be encouraged.

Anyone watching will have the opportunity to challenge, ask questions and, take centre-stage to share their own views.
