Barlows Butchers, which has a shop on Nuncargate Road, Kirkby, won five awards at the London Smithfield Q Guild Awards.

Its pork pie was a gold award winner, while its steak and ale and , Robin Hood pies were also successful.

Barlows’ Texas Hot Link, a fiery sausage, also claimed a gold award, while its Creamy Beef Stroganoff was another winner.

Its young butchers, Charlie and Lulu Barlow, also made it to the finals in the Young Butchers of the Year category.
