Valley CIDS, a Christian charity based Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, opens its 28th Lighthouse Charity shop on Stockwell Gate, Mansfield, on Friday.

Valley CIDS (Christians Involved in Developing Society) helps children, young people and families through out-reach work in schools and the community.

The charity shops support its Quest Team delivering workshops and assemblies to primary schools; the Blend Youth Project running two youth centres and a youth enterprise project, breakfast clubs in four primary schools, the Saltpot Community Café, Swanwick; and educational facility Turner Farm, Swanwick.
