Stepping out to help Amazons

Posted onPosted on 10th Aug

MANSFIELD woman Rachel Street has again donned walking boots and risen to the challenge of fundraising for the Amazon Breast Cancer Support Group.

Rachel (pictured) completed The Peak District Ultra Challenge, continuously walking 100km over 23 hours.

She raised £620 for the charity, which works to help cancer patients at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton. Previously Rachel ran The Ladybower Marathon for the Amazons, who thanked her for the continued support and generosity.

The Gregory family, proprietors of The Cambria Hotel, Paignton, added a donation of £66 to the fundraising of two friends of the Amazon Breast Cancer Support Group, who recently holidayed at their hotel.

The fundraising, which included a raffle, singing, and individual donations, raised £500.

The charity thanked the hotel and fundraisers for their continued generosity.
