To celebrate the coronation, Dukeries u3a joined in the RSPB-organised event at Sherwood Forest, Edwinstowe.

Members provided information on the group to interested passers-by, while singers and ukulele players joined non-u3a members and the Nottinghamshire Band of the Royal Engineers to provide musical entertainment.

On the following day, Monday, 8th May, at their main coronation celebration, Dukeries u3a members and guests dressed to impress at their Right Royal Knees Up. A meal was provided by Culinary Delights and dancing was to the Easy Thomas Blues Band.
