A former Mansfield woman raised thousands of pounds for charity when she completed the London Marathon.
Juliet Bacon, the daughter of Mansfield solicitor Paul Bacon and his wife, Christine, ran the race to support Nottinghamshire charity My Sight.
It helps the blind and visually impaired Paul, who belongs to its rambling group, has retinitis pigmentosa, an inherited condition. He now has no sight in his right eye, and 3% vision in his left eye.
Juliet is deputy editor of ITV’s This Morning, and was supported by many of her colleagues.
She is pictured being congratulated by Paul as she finished the marathon, raising £4,500 for My Sight.
