Soroptimist International Mansfield and District marked International Women’s Day by wearing odd shoes to highlight its gender equality and diversity message.

The ladies put on the odd shoes to a meal at Springwater Cantonese Restaurant, Calverton, when funds were also raised for the adopted charities of Mansfield

Soroptimists’ president, Kath Whittingham. Among those at Springwater were members from other Soroptimist regions and WI groups, as well as potential new members.

As part of the day Soroptimists in the region completed a walk for women in Nottingham city centre.

Region members and guest speakers also crossed their arms to embrace equity with digital dynamism during a meeting on Zoom, chaired by S.I. Midland East president Kam Britland.
