Easter eggs appeal to make children smile

Posted onPosted on 18th Jan

Three beauty pageant winners have joined together to help poorly children this Easter.

They are collecting Easter eggs to donate to the Children’s Ward at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton.

Mother and daughter, Elinore Pheasant and Sue Pheasant, were recently named Miss Beauty UK Queen of Queens and Miss Classic Beauty UK.

They are working with New Houghton’s Nikita Wilson, holder of the Ultimate Natural Beauty UK Charity title.

Elinore and Sue, of Rainworth, said the pageants gave people of all ages and body types the chance to take part.

Elinore has been supporting mental health charities, volunteers at Mansfield charity Jigsaw, and aims to continue her community work with her mum.

One of Elinore and Sue’s first duties after winning their titles was to present Rainworth youngster Lexi-May Pearce with the Great Minds Pathway Fighting Princess and Prince’s crown.

The charity has recognised the fighting spirit of the youngster, who was featured in the News Journal last year. Lexi-May has been battling Wilms’ tumour, a type of kidney cancer, since 2019, and an appeal has been launched to send her on a dream holiday to Florida.

Anyone wanting to donate Easter eggs should either contact the official Facebook pages of the beauty queen winners or email [email protected] for further details
