Award crowns pub’s work in community

Posted onPosted on 5th Jan

A Forest Town pub has been rewarded for its efforts to help the community.

The Prince Charles was named Development Divisional Pub of the Year at The Stars of Stonegate Pub Partners Awards.

Jason Clarke, business partner, has put the pub at the heart of the community and gone above and beyond to support people in Forest Town, with the help of general manager Sinead Clarke.

Jason and Sinead continually carry out charity work, such as raising £2,000 over a weekend for Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance. They also offer the pub’s function room free to charity events.

Jason said: “I am delighted. This is such an amazing achievement, and I would not have been able to do any of this without the support of Sinead, my brilliant team. and customers’ continued support.

“I wanted to make the Prince Charles a place everyone in Mansfield can go, as a home away from home, and be able to give back to those in need.

“Here’s to the future of the Prince Charles and it continuing to go from strength to strength and grow into the best community business.”

The Stars of Stonegate Pub Partners Awards recognise talent across its leased and tenanted estate, celebrating the work and dedication that has gone into making their businesses a success.

Nick Andrews, managing director of Stonegate Pub Partners, said: “All of our pub partners are actively involved with their local communities, putting their pubs are the heart of them.

“We aim to raise the bar on the Great British pub for our people, guests and communities, through great offerings and brilliant community spaces.”
