Pupils and staff at The Bramble Academy, Mansfield Woodhouse, and The Brunts Academy, Mansfield, are celebrating after they officially joined the Greenwood Academies Trust.

They will join 36 other academies at the trust and will work to share best practice and implement new initiatives to secure school improvements.

Greenwood Academy Trust (GAT) comprises infant, primary, secondary, and special schools across Nottinghamshire, Leicester, Northamptonshire, Peterborough, and Lincolnshire.

It is known for its passion for championing inclusivity, celebrating diversity, delivering high-quality education, and raising the aspirations of young people.

It said the vision and values of The Bramble Academy and The Brunts Academy align with GAT, making them joining the trust a natural progression, and they will be part of its Nottinghamshire hub.

Carl Atkin, principal of The Brunts Academy, said: “Our whole school community is looking forward to our new partnership with Greenwood Academies Trust. We know it will bring even more development opportunities for our staff as well as a range of benefits for our pupils.
